Lockdown Fun. A Step by Step Guide

Create a surfers paradise in your own home! Follow these simple steps to create a simple toy to slip and slide around the room on...


You Will Need:

  • Stanley Knife

  • Straw

  • Duct Tape

  • Poster paint, brushes

  • Marker pen

  • 1 x Cardboard frame box

  • String




Steps:

  • Mark out the shape of your surfboard onto the cardboard using a marker pen.

  • Before you start to paint. Cut out a paper surfboard stencil and attach with tape to your cardboard.

  • Take greens and blues and dot blobs of paint all around your cardboard.

  • Hand your child a paintbrush and let them decorate the sea.

  • Let your child spread all the paint around to completely cover the visible cardboard.

  • Continue to add the paint until the whole surface is covered. Once you have finished, remove the paper surfboard outline.

  • Paint your design onto the surfboard.

  • Dot white paint around the surfboard.

  • Use a straw to blow the paint away from the surfboard to create splashes on the wave.

  • Attach string to the front end of the cardboard to create a pull string.

  • Now it’s playtime. Enjoy!
