Lockdown Fun. A Step by Step Guide

Hit the open road with this simple and easy to make at home cardboard Barbie Jeep. For instructions see below:


You Will Need:

  • Stanley Knife

  • Pva

  • Bulldog clips

  • Poster paint, brushes

  • Marker pen

  • 1 x Cardboard box

Steps:

  • Use a plate to mark out the wheels on both large surfaces.

  • Draw out the side of the Barbie Jeep on the larger side.

  • Draw out the front of the Jeep, including the grill and number plate. Add the surface of the tires onto the front too.

  • On the boot draw out the brake lights, bumper and number plate.

  • Paint and decorate each side of the Jeep in classic Barbie pink colours.

  • You can keep your little one entertained inside the box whilst you paint.

  • Carefully cut the top of the car away using a stanley knife.

  • Create the bonnet by cutting the sides down and folding them over one another. Use pva to secure them together. I used bulldog clips and pva to create the bars of the Jeep.

  • On all sides mark out all the detailing using a marker pen.

  • Using a stanley knife cut along the opening lines of the doors.

  • Leave overnight to fully dry and strengthen.

  • Fill the inside with soft blankets and cushions to make it comfy.

  • Now it’s playtime. Enjoy!
